Both “Resident Evil 9” and “Monster Hunter: Wilds” use open-world technology based on the RE engine in the game.

March 23, it was reported that AestheticGamer (also known as Dusk Golem), a source of information, recently revealed that “Resident Evil 9” and “Monster Hunter: Wilds” will be similar to “Dragon’s Dogma 2”, using a new open-world technology based on the RE engine.

AestheticGamer stated that when Capcom deploys new development plans, it usually bundles three game projects to move forward, and gave two examples:

“Resident Evil 7”, “Resident Evil 2”, and “Devil May Cry 5” were basically established in the same period, and the new version of the RE engine was deployed first.

After the release of the new version of “Resident Evil 2”, the remastered versions of “Resident Evil 3” and “Resident Evil 4” were released.

Capcom released the fantasy action RPG game “Dragon’s Dogma 2” on March 22, providing players with a complete open world to explore on the RE engine.

AestheticGamer believes that according to Capcom’s development habits, the upcoming fantasy hunting action game “Monster Hunter: Wilds” (Monster Hunter Wilds) and the yet-to-be-announced “Resident Evil 9” (Resident Evil 9) will all use this enhanced version of the engine.

AestheticGamer said that although these three games use the same open-world RE engine, they will maintain their own game features.
