Tencent’s “Honor of Kings” earned $248 million in February and retained the title of the global mobile game chart champion.

Sensor Tower store intelligence data shows that in February 2024, Tencent’s “Honor of Kings” earned $248 million (Note from IT House: Currently about 1.8 billion yuan) on the global App Store and Google Play, retaining the title of the best-selling mobile game in the world.

On February 10, the game launched 5 limited-edition skins for the Year of the Dragon to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival and a large number of content updates, setting a record for the daily revenue peak of the month and increasing the revenue in February by 6% compared with the previous month.

Scopely’s “Monopoly GO!” ranked second on the list with revenue of $244 million (currently about 1.771 billion yuan). Among them, 79.2% of the revenue comes from the US market, and the revenue in the UK market accounts for 3.9%, and the French market accounts for 2.8%.

The other three games in the top five revenue lists are Dream Games’ “Royal Match”, Tencent’s “PUBG Mobile” (combined revenue of “Peace Elite”) and “Roblox”.

In February 2024, global mobile game players paid $6.5 billion (currently about 47.19 billion yuan) on the App Store and Google Play, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%.

The United States is still the highest-earning market for global mobile games, contributing nearly $2 billion, accounting for 30.5% of the global total revenue. The Chinese iOS market ranks second, accounting for 20.1%; the Japanese market ranks third, accounting for 13.7%.
